After spending 10 years as a graphic designer, I realized that I wanted to do something more meaningful with my art. I wanted to bring my designs to life in a way that would touch people's lives and make a real difference. That's what inspired me to become a barber.

For me, barbering is more than just a job—it's a calling. I want people to know that they are good enough, anywhere. Whether they're heading to a job interview or a night out on the town, I want them to feel their best.

So, after 13 years of cutting hair, I decided to open Borough Barbers, a space that reflects my love of family, creativity, and community. I wanted to create a place where people could come and feel at home, and where they could experience the sincerity and classiness of my craft.

What sets Borough Barbers apart is the approachability and sincerity that we bring to everything we do. We take the time to get to know our customers, to understand their needs and preferences, and to offer consultation on the best hairstyles and grooming products for their hair type and lifestyle. We want our customers to feel comfortable with us and confident with their haircut.

Damian
For Damian, barbering is far more than a profession—it is a lifelong passion that he has cultivated and refined for over 30 years. Dedicated to mastering his craft at the absolute highest level, he sought out elite training from industry legends like Vidal Sassoon and Paul Mitchell. His journey eventually led him to the fast-paced, demanding environment of New York City, where he truly honed and perfected the classic scissor-over-comb technique. Today, his renowned precision scissor cuts are second to none, reflecting decades of unwavering dedication to the traditional art of men's grooming.
Now bringing his unparalleled expertise to the chairs at Borough Barbers, Damian believes that the difference between a simple morning routine and a true barbershop service lies entirely in the details. For him, a hot towel shave is never just about removing hair; it is about meticulous precision, careful attention to every step of the process, and the ability to transform a standard shave into a truly unique, relaxing experience. He approaches every haircut with that same rigorous attention to detail, ensuring that he maintains the highest possible standard of quality with each and every visit.
Damian
Master Barber
Despite his extensive background and elite mastery of the clippers and shears, Damian’s commitment to his work never remains static. He continuously pursues ongoing education to keep his skills razor-sharp and stay at the forefront of the industry. Yet, for all his technical skill, Damian will be the first to tell you that the most rewarding part of his job goes far beyond the haircut itself. For him, the true privilege of being a barber is building lasting, genuine relationships and having the honor of accompanying his clients through the most important and celebratory moments of their lives.
Will
For Will, the passion for hair started early. Captivated by the barbershop experience even as a child, he spent his free time watching haircut videos online just for fun. When the pandemic temporarily closed traditional shops, he seized the opportunity to pick up the clippers himself at just 13 years old. What began as giving free cuts to friends and family in his basement and backyard quickly evolved into a true calling. Driven by a genuine love for the craft, he spent years honing his skills before officially earning his license through Mercer County Technical Schools last spring.
Now behind the chair at Borough Barbers—his first official shop—Will views barbering as both a vital creative outlet and a meaningful way to help people feel good about themselves. He knows firsthand the confidence boost that comes from a great haircut and strives to recreate that exact feeling for everyone he works with. A cornerstone of his approach is a thorough consultation. He believes that taking the time to truly understand a client's preferences prevents surprises, builds trust, and guarantees they walk out looking exactly how they envisioned.
Currently balancing his craft with his studies as a college student at TCNJ, Will brings a fresh and energetic presence to the shop. Because his schedule can sometimes fluctuate with his classes, clients are encouraged to check his Instagram story (@juicedcuts) for his latest appointment availability. When you sit in his chair, you can expect not only a top-tier haircut but also great conversation—whether you want to debate the latest sports highlights, review a new movie, or swap your favorite food recommendations.
